Concert for the Canal

Choral Concert for the Canal

The internationally known Dursley Male Voice Choir is to perform a fundraising concert on Saturday 18th April 2015 at Wycliffe College, Stonehouse, GL10 2AF. Proceeds will assist with the restoration of the Cotswold Canals.

Founded in 1978

Dursley Male Voice Choir was founded by a group of enthusiastic singers in 1978 and has since grown to be one of the principal male choirs of the region with up to 70 singers drawn from all over the area. DMVC Musical Director Barry Cooper will not have far to come from his home in Kings Stanley.

Canals Trust Members

A number of DMVC singers also happen to be members of the Cotswold Canals Trust. As well as local concerts the choir has performed at many venues around the UK, and internationally while on tour.

Support from the ladies

The concert will include a set performed by eight ladies from the South Gloucestershire based close harmony group Fascinating Rythmn.
