Cotswold Canals Trust Administration Team

CCT Administration Team at Wallbridge Lock, Stroud

December 2012 sees another move forward in the development of The Cotswold Canals Trust.

Justine Hopkins and Sarah Fesel, a two person job share team, take over the reins from Sharon Eastwood on Monday the 10th December.

Broad range of valuable skills

Sarah and Justine bring a broad range of valuable skills, qualifications and experience to the Trust. These have been gained in the varied spheres of insurance, engineering, hotels, accounts, the licensed trade, manufacturing and retail, business administration and the marine industry!

Growing activity

The Trust’s levels of activity have grown over recent years including public and official enquiries, restoration partnership liaison, fund raising, volunteer led restoration projects, trading company turnover and trip boat operations. This has created a growing need for full business hours coverage at Bell House.

A 'thank you' to Sharon

Our outgoing administrator Sharon Eastwood, who has performed these duties on a part-time basis since March 2010, is a proficient business person in her own right.

Sharon found that the needs of her equestrian enterprises did not allow her to extend her hours for the Trust.

Sharon has worked closely with Trudy Ayre – Trust Treasurer, Jack Telling – Trust Company Secretary and Clive Field – Trading Company Chair, to identify how the increasing administration needs of the Trust could be met.

Trudy comments… “Sharon has been flexible and amenable to effect a handover to Justine and Sarah.

"We are very grateful to Sharon for her skilful, good humoured and caring dealings with both official bodies and passionately committed volunteers alike.”

Let us all offer a warm welcome to the world of canal restoration to Justine and Sarah as well as best wishes to Sharon for future success in the equine world.
