A Report from Nigel Edgeworth
Work started on Tuesday following the extended Bank Holiday shut down period.
This week saw the continuation of laying of the facing bricks to the Slad Brook headwall, the northeast wing wall and the east towpath wall.
Reinforcing has been installed and concrete pours have been completed for both south wing walls.
Foundations have been formed for the boundary walls to land to the northwest and northeast of the bridge.
Next week will see brick facing work continue on the walls.
The installation of drainage and kerbs opposite the Stroud & Swindon Building Society will commence.
Further construction work associated with the southern wing walls and the installation of the gabion retaining structure on the northwest side of the bridge will also take place.
