Merrywalks Bridge Bulletin No. 51

A report from Nigel Edgeworth

Work is now progressing at quite a pace.

All reinforced concrete works are now completed.

Bricklaying on the Northern wing walls is complete.

The bricklayers have now started on the southern wing walls.

See picture middle left. Note the gap for the name plaque!

The same team have commenced work on the northwest stone boundary wall. See picture bottom left.

Drains and ducts have been installed on the northern side of the bridge and kerbs laid on the west side of the bridge.

The gabion wall on the northwest edge of the site is now complete.

Temporary supports put in place during these works will be removed next week.

Next week we will see continuation of the bricklaying and highway works.

This will include the erection of some lighting columns.
