The actual construction of the wall can start next week.
Work to form the capping beam on the north west wing wall is now nearing completion.

The laborious task of finishing the concrete face inside the bridge has been ongoing this week.
This process involves smoothing out blemishes remaining after removal of the shuttering.
It also involves filling the holes that remained after removal of the tie bars that held the shuttering together during the concrete pour.
The pilasters are now taking shape.
This element of the work is quite complicated and forms an important feature of the finished structure.
