News for Stroud's Canal Restoration Volunteers

"Drop-in" Volunteering Sessions

Come and join us at our regular volunteering sessions every Tuesday and Thursday.

No experience needed. Just come in outdoor clothes and sturdy footwear (& gloves, if you have them).

Walking to the work site – Bowbridge Lock

We have now finished for 2012. Sessions resume on Thursday 3rd January at Bowbridge Lock from 10am.

For the foreseeable future the Tuesday & Thursday Volunteers will be working at Bowbridge Lock. Meet 10am at Wallbridge Visitor Centre and we will walk to the site.

Or make your own way to site

If volunteers wish to park / meet at site, we will arrive shortly after 10.30.

The postcode for Bowbridge Lock is GL5 2JZ. All tools and equipment will be based on site in our container at Bowbridge.

The Tuesday group may move to work at different locations. This will be briefed at the preceding Tuesday session.

Location

Butterow Hill – Off London Road near The British Oak pub.

Bring a packed lunch and join others helping to restore the canal and build the towpath.
