Severn Way – Walkers Guide

Rare guide for walkers now available

The Cotswold Canals Trust now has a limited stock of The Severn Way – Official Walkers Guide.

Published in 1999 this popular wire-bound guide has become something of a rarity and favourite among walkers. “It folds flat and fits so well into my map pack” said a recent purchaser.

Professor Ed Gallagher, Chief Executive of The Environment Agency from 1995 to 2000, included the following recommendations in his forward to the book.

"In a world where the pace of life seems ever faster the ability to get away from it all and relax becomes increasingly important."

"For our quality of life, the Severn Way offers a unique combination of leisure experiences, from just being out in the fresh air in fine countryside to a healthy way of exploring many of the historic townscapes and other attractions along the route."

"Linking Wales and England, the 337km (210 miles way-marked walking trail can be easily accessed by bus and rail."

"This guide provides a wealth of information on the Severn Valley and offers an environmentally friendly way of discovering its diverse character, culture, people and wildlife."
