Arrival of Ryeford Lock Gates

Ryeford Lock Gates arrive bright & early

SDC’s Jon Pontefract had an early morning call on Thursday.
Two of the three sets of gates for Ryeford Double Lock arrived at 8am… all the way from Halifax to Brimscombe. And they arrived by Severn…

Well… ok, that was the name of the transport company!

The bright and shiny black painted oak gates have been placed in a warehouse where they will be wrapped in hessian and kept damp whilst awaiting installation at Ryeford.

The third – middle set of gates – are expected soon.
