Cotswold Canals Trust Bookshop Volunteers – Help Required
The Cotswold Canals Trust requires volunteers to supervise the Secondhand Bookshop at Brimscombe on Thursdays and alternate Saturdays.
Duties would include:
- Opening up before 10am
- Cashing up and closing at 4pm
- Some minimal supervision of volunteers is also involved
The duties can be shared between mornings and afternoons, 10am – 1pm and 1pm – 4pm and also between days.
If you have time to spare on a Thursday or a Saturday please contact Alan or Anna Watts for more on 07976 617983 for more information on this role.
Tall Ships Event Volunteers
The Cotswold Canals Trust Bookshop will be at the Gloucester Quays Tall Ships Event on the 25th, 26th and 27th of May 2019, the Spring Bank Holiday weekend. We will need all the volunteer help we can muster.
This year we have booked 3 adjacent covered pitches for each of the 3 days and will need a minimum of 2 volunteers per shift, per pitch – e.g. 6 volunteers per shift. The morning shift will be 9:30am to 1pm, the afternoon shift 1pm until approximately 5pm.
In addition, we will need volunteers on the preceding Friday 24th to select books etc and to load the van(s) at Brimscombe and on Tuesday 28th May to unload back at the Bookshop which will be closed. We take our own tables in addition to books, puzzles records etc.
If you have not been a volunteer before, this is a good time to experience helping raise funds for the Trust, to publicise the restoration work and to meet with other Trust members.
Please contact Alan or Anna Watts for more on 07976 617983 for more information on volunteering.
We look forward to hearing from you.
