Brimscombe Book Shop
Stroud’s biggest bookshop
This successful fundraising enterprise, probably the largest bookshop in Stroud, is managed by CCT members Alan & Anna Watts and other volunteers.
Vinyl makes a comeback
The recorded music pundits know that recordings on vinyl have become sought-after icons of musical times past.
The bookshop has acquired an impressive collection of what we once referred to as ‘Long Playing Records’
Refresh your musical memories, pop along to Brimscombe Port and seek out evidence of your musical past.
There are bargains to be had and perhaps some valuable collector’s pieces to purchase.
Jigsaw puzzles still have a part to play for those seeking colourful, challenging and restful relaxation.
The shop sells donated books, pictures, CDs, DVDs, vinyl records and jigsaws
The shop is currently staffed on Tuesdays, Thursday’s and Saturdays from 10 am until 4 pm
Alan Watts, pictured above, explains… “The shop is operated by volunteers. The success of the enterprise means that we are now recruiting new volunteers in order that we can perhaps open four days a week. It is great fun and we meet many interesting people with fascinating stories to tell.”
