An exhibition detailing the history and people of the Stroudwater Navigation will be held at Whitminster Village Hall, School Lane, Whitminster, GL2 7NT from 10am until 4pm on Saturday 11th April. Free admission.
Conserving the archive
This event has been organised by members of the Stroudwater Navigation Archive Charity (SNAC). The charity is actively conserving the archive of the Company of Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation.
History helping the future
The archive has a bearing on the planning of the restoration of navigation from Saul Junction to The Ocean at Stonehouse. Amongst the charity’s members are authors Michael Handford and David Viner.
Michael and David will be present during the afternoon to sign copies of their books on the history of The Stroudwater Navigation and The Thames & Severn Canal.

The walks will be limited to 25 persons per session. So, you are advised to reserve your place early to avoid disappointment.
