Volunteer Help Required – Connect Webmasters

CONNECT WEBMASTERS REQUIRED

 

The Cotswold Canals Trust requires two Volunteers to take over the management of certain tasks of our Connect Volunteer database.  Connect is an interactive management tool that enables:

  • Activity Leaders to publicise events to the wider membership as details will appear online
  • Roster Managers to compile rosters in an easily understandable format
  • Volunteers to record their own areas of interest, browse the current and planned activities and get involved.

The duties include:

Homepage News Maintenance:

  • Updating the Events and Activities on the Welcome Page

Activity Maintenance:

  • Establishing new Rosters and Message Boards and removing expired ones
  • Monitoring information placed on Message Boards

Volunteers Maintenance:

  • Receiving and acknowledging new Volunteer Registrations
  • Amend Members’ records (where they have not done so themselves)

Email Centre:

  • Emailing, via SendinBlue – a bulk email system, Activity Group Volunteers or Roster Volunteers when requested to do so by Activity Leaders

 It is expected that:

  • Following discussions, the above duties would be divided between the Webmasters
  • the Webmasters will work from home for an average 3-4 hours per week each
  • Be IT literate (high level skills not necessary)
  • Holidays would be covered by each Webmaster and, if required, the Wallbridge Office
