Volunteer Help Required – Geotechnical Support

Volunteer Help Required – Geotechnical Support

Can you help?

The Cotswold Canals Trust is heading up the management of Phase 1B project work that will extend our current length of navigable water from Ocean Bridge outside Stonehouse through to Saul Junction. We are seeking support form anyone with Geotechnical expertise, to help guide us on delivering “in house” geotechnical surveys where they are needed.

Essentially we recognise that some geotechnical analysis and associated bore holes will have to be subcontracted out, however it is felt that with the right equipment and supervision, most of the simpler surveys and bore holes might be delivered by volunteers with appropriate equipment. We are hoping that someone within our community have both the experience and some time to lead or guide this proposition.

The Next Step

If you have experience of geotechnical surveying, and would like to get involved, please get in touch with Andy Charters through the Cotswold Canals Trust Head Office as shown below.   01453 752568

As a volunteer, you would be joining an enterprising community, and will be assured of good support by other volunteers who would be ready to assist where it is needed.

Many thanks for your interest and we look forward to hearing from you.
