Cotswold Canals Trust member and wildlife buff Martin Wright has resumed his Wednesday Wildlife Walks.

All will commence at the Visitor Centre Wallbridge Lock on Wednesdays.

The dates are as follows

  • 14th March
  • 11th April
  • 16th May
  • 20th June

Walks start from Wallbridge at 10.00.

(Meet at 9.45) Walk duration –  up to two hours.

The route provides easy walking along the canal towpath past Bowbridge, up the hill to Butterow, and return alongside the River Frome.

Dave photographed the seldom seen, but not uncommon water fowl, walking on the ice between Nutshell Bridge and Stonehouse Bridge on a frosty February morning.
